Case Study: Comprehensive Micro-Market, Coffee & Hydration Solution for a Leading Manufacturing & Distribution Campus

Cafepoint was commissioned to deliver a full refreshment and breakout area transformation for a major manufacturing and warehouse operation spread across a large multi-building campus. The client required a modern, self-service solution that could operate at scale, support variable shift patterns, and provide staff with convenient access to food, drinks, and comfortable breakout spaces 24/7.

The project combined advanced micro-market technology, high-capacity hot drink systems, premium water solutions, and a complete furniture refit — all designed to elevate staff wellbeing, reduce queueing, and improve on-site efficiency.

Micro-Market Installation

At the centre of the project was a two-till micro-market, designed to accommodate high traffic while delivering a smooth, self-guided user experience. The market includes:

  • 4 large upright chilled fridges for fresh food, dairy, and meal options
  • 4 upright ambient units for snacks, grocery items, and shift essentials
  • 4 Scan-to-Heat iWave stations, enabling staff to pick, scan, and heat meals safely and conveniently without traditional kitchen staffing

The setup provides constant access to freshly stocked products, supporting both day and night shifts while reducing reliance on a manned canteen model.

Coffee Provision Across the Campus

To support the main canteen and additional satellite break rooms, Cafepoint installed:

  • 4 Coffetek Neo Q machines on free vend within the central canteen, allowing all staff to enjoy complimentary hot drinks throughout the day
  • 4 further Neo Q machines positioned strategically around the wider campus to ensure consistent availability of high-quality beverages

To enhance the premium offering, the campus also benefits from 3 Rex-Royal S300 Compact C-F machines, each paired with 365 Pico payment terminals for fast, contactless, unattended transactions.

Hydration & Water Systems

Hydration was a key priority for the client due to the physical nature of the work and the size of the site. We installed multiple Aqua Libra Alto 3-in-1 taps, delivering instant boiling, chilled, and sparkling water in key production and office areas. These taps ensure staff can stay refreshed throughout their shifts while reducing reliance on bottled water and increasing sustainability across the campus.

Canteen, Breakout & Collaborative Spaces

Beyond the refreshment infrastructure, Cafepoint also completed a full refurbishment of the surrounding canteen and breakout spaces, including:

  • Modern dining tables and chairs
  • Soft seating, sofa arrangements, and mixed breakout furniture
  • Collaborative coworking zones designed to encourage informal meetings, team interaction, and relaxation
  • A refreshed layout optimised for flow, accessibility, and staff comfort

The result is a cohesive and well-designed environment that blends foodservice, refreshments, and workspace into a single, modern campus hub.
